The amateur violin player
delicately
puts bow to instrument and from that instrument comes
a primal-terrible screech.

The sound is a water buffalo
caught
in the jaws of a crocodile and from those jaws comes
gore in quarter and half notes.

Deep within the jungle of woodwinds and strings the sound
burSTS
struggling to escape and from that struggle comes
the deadly end.
